Only these electronics groups are modeled here

The supported groups are cell phones and smartphones (9355), laptops and desktop computers (175672 and 177), and camera bodies or lenses in Cameras & photography (625). Phone accessories, computer components, tripods, replacement parts, audio equipment and Other Cameras & Photo are not covered by these presets. Some have different official rates. Check the category ID, not just the word electronics.

Store rates depend on the device category

No Store and Starter use 13.6% on the first $7,500 of each item’s fee base, then 2.35%. Basic and higher Stores use 9.35% for supported phones and cameras, or 7.35% for supported laptops and desktops, on the first $2,500; the portion above $2,500 is 2.35%. One order fee of $0.30 or $0.40 is added at the $10 order-total boundary.

An official-style phone example

A $400 smartphone with $24 tax and no buyer-paid shipping has a $424 fee base. With no Store, the percentage fee rounds to $57.66 and the order fee is $0.40: $58.06 before any insertion fee. Enter a $0.35 insertion fee to obtain $58.41, matching the official worked example. Our example’s $200 item cost, $8 delivery and $2 packing leave $131.94 profit before extras.

Condition, returns and delivery change the decision

A fee calculator cannot inspect battery condition, activation locks, repair risk or whether a return will occur. Put known repair or packing costs into Packaging & other and enter the postage and insurance you actually pay. Run a lower-price scenario for an offer; do not treat the difference between no-Store and Store order fees as savings after subscription costs. International, mixed-category and Authenticity Guarantee scenarios remain excluded.

Check the rules behind the estimate

Read the official non-Store fee table, official Store rates and General advertising rules. Sources checked 2026-10-16; this is a dated rules snapshot, not a historical fee database. Our methodology explains rounding, shipping allocation and exclusions.

Questions for this category

Can I apply the laptop Store rate to a phone case?

No. This calculator intentionally excludes accessories and other electronics from these fee groups. Consult the official category table before selecting a category.

What happens above the Store threshold?

The rate on the portion above $2,500 becomes 2.35%, rather than replacing the rate on the entire item. The worked laptop and camera examples below cross that boundary.
