Check whether a clothing sale still makes money after eBay fees, postage, sourcing and packing. Ordinary apparel is the scope here; bags and athletic shoes have different rules.

This page starts in Clothing & accessories (11450), excluding men’s and women’s athletic shoes, women’s bags and handbags, and NFT listings. Those exclusions have their own fee thresholds. A shirt, dress or jacket is a different calculation from a qualifying sneaker or handbag, even if both came from the same sourcing trip.
No Store and Starter use 13.6% on the first $7,500 per item, then 2.35% above that amount. Basic, Premium, Anchor and Enterprise use 12.7% on the first $2,500, then 2.35%. The order fee is $0.30 at an order total of $10 or less and $0.40 above it. The fee base generally includes shipping and sales tax; the profit calculation excludes sales tax from revenue.
An $80 item plus $6 buyer-paid shipping and $6.88 tax has a $92.88 fee base. No-Store estimated fees are $13.03. With $25 sourcing, $5 delivery and $1 packing costs, profit is $41.97. Basic Store reduces those order fees to $12.20, before paying for the Store subscription. Neither figure means postage is free just because the buyer paid shipping.
Enter the offer price and your actual costs, then switch to Target price to work backward from an amount of profit. Target mode supports one item and holds your entered tax amount fixed. Discounts, returns, tax on seller fees and other charges are not inferred. Enter known costs and use the statement to reconcile an actual completed sale.
Read the official non-Store fee table, official Store rates and General advertising rules. Sources checked 2026-10-16; this is a dated rules snapshot, not a historical fee database. Our methodology explains rounding, shipping allocation and exclusions.

No. Athletic-shoe fee thresholds are separate, and Authenticity Guarantee orders are excluded entirely. Choose a supported category in the main calculator rather than applying ordinary clothing rates to them.
A lower order fee is only one input. Compare the subscription against the actual number and mix of sales; the Store comparison below isolates fee savings and states the benefits it leaves out.
